The repair of a storm water drain on State Road 10 in Culver was a little more costly than originally thought.
Marshall County crews helped the Town of Culver fix the failed drain on the property donated to the town. The county provided the labor and the town provided the materials for the project.
Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist told the Town Council members last week that more material was used for the project, which became known when the invoice came to the town for the cost of gravel, rip rap, and fill sand. The town originally paid for the cost of the pipe.
The additional cost of materials totaled $2,611.84. The town council members approved that payment to Zehner Excavating with a unanimous vote.
