Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters wants to review the permitting process when it comes to road cuts, bores, and right-of-way access.
Peters told the commissioners this week that he wants to add language that will help protect the county against any issues when companies request to install utility lines, specifically internet fiber, on county right-of-way.
Peters said he’s working with County Attorney Jim Clevenger to include specific provisions into the permitting process for the future approval of the commissioners.
He submitted several road cut requests to the commissioners this week which were all approved. The number keeps increasing as more services become available.
