The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed a contract with Quality Correctional Care last week.
The contract provides health care with doctors and nurses and mental health at the Marshall County Jail.
County Attorney Jim Clevenger said indemnification terms were amended in the most current version, which Clevenger adjusted in conversation with Bliss McKnight.
The new four year contract increases the nurse’s hours to 70 a week which increased the cost of the contract. Sheriff Matt Hassel asked for the increase in hours to adequately cover the number of needs by inmates in the jail.
The contract is for $167,410 a year.
The contract amendment was approved by Quality Correctional Care officials and approved by the commissioners with a unanimous vote.
