Renovations to the Culver Beach Lodge are nearly complete.
Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist told the Culver Town Council members last week that a meeting is set for Wednesday where the contractors will do a walk-through with officials and give a preliminary punchlist of items to complete. It appears that the project will be substantially complete ahead of the deadline for grant funds from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
Leist added that a ribbon cutting for the first phase of the walking trail is tentatively planned for May 9, which is the first weekend for the Farmer’s Market. One wasn’t conducted last year due to the immediate renovation of the Beach Lodge. Park Superintendent Amber Cowell and Leist hope to do a grand opening and open house for the Beach Lodge that day as well.
More information on those events will be released closer to the proposed date.
