The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members approved a request from Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson to form a committee to review Request for Proposals for an upcoming wastewater project.
Davidson said he’s advertised for Request for Proposals in order to enter into a guaranteed savings contract with a company to move forward with the renovation of the primary anaerobic digester. It’s slated to be done in this year’s capital improvement project plan.
He previously told board members that the project will be done in three phases. Phase One is removing material and cleaning the parts as much as possible. Phase Two is performing the inspection and Phase Three is the renovation process.
Prior to the selection of a company, Davidson asked that a committee be formed in order to properly review and score the companies’ proposals before a recommendation is made to the board members at their next meeting. He said he’s talked to City Attorney Sean Surrisi and Plymouth City Councilman Don Ecker Jr. who agreed to serve on the committee. Davidson would complete the three-member committee.
The board members approved the request with the inclusion of the committee members with a unanimous vote.
