The Bremen Town Council members learned this week that a letter sent by the town’s trash collector differs from the calendar and has led to some confusion.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said only a portion of residents received a letter before the error was found. He stressed that trash pickup remains on Monday and Tuesday with recycling every other week.
“They’re going to send out new notices,” said Weldy. “I called them and had a little conversation so they’ll send out new calendars and get it all taken care of. They picked it up on January 6 like always and they picked it up on January 7 on the west side of town. Recycling skips this week and then goes the following week.”
If there are problems this week, an extra truck will be sent out to pick up trash.
If there are residents who are more avid recycle contributors, an extra bin can be requested.
