Work continues in and around the Culver Beach Lodge. Town Manager Jonathan Leist discussed the project with the town council during his update on the town’s Stellar Community projects last week.
“The sidewalks and trail have been installed around the building,” he said. “It looks like we have windows going in on the new addition. Things are still on-schedule and on-budget as of our last site meeting.” Leist said the installation of sod has been pushed back until the spring, following weather-related delays.
He also reminded the council that work on the new Cavalier Sports Park isn’t expected to resume until late February or early March. Both projects are funded, in part, by grants from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, made available by Culver’s Stellar designation.
The town is also part of Marshall County Crossroads, which itself is a finalist for a regional Stellar designation. Leist said this year’s designee will be announced tomorrow morning.
