Plymouth Business Demolition Bid Awarded

A demolition company won a bid to tear down the property at 400 E. Jefferson Street in Plymouth

City Attorney Sean Surrisi told the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday night that two bids were received for the work from Langfeldt Excavation, LLC with a bid of $12,300 and Jackson Demolition Services, LLC with a bid of $14,900.  They were reviewed and the lowest responsible bidder was Langfeldt Excavation, LLC.

Surrisi added that a contract was signed with the company.

“They are working the project into their schedule so we expect to see some movement over there soon,” commented Surrisi.  “They have 90 days from the date of the award and notice to proceed to get the work completed.”

The old Clarke station at 400 E. Jefferson Street has been vacant for some time.  It was deemed an unsafe structure and was affirmed by the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety for demolition in August.
