Marshall County Commission President Kevin Overmyer delivered some good news to the county council members this week.
The county will be changing the insurance health care provider from Anthem to United Healthcare on Jan. 1 which will mean a significant savings.
“I think there’s going to be some good things that our employees will like,” commented Overmyer. “I think they’re going to see a huge reduction in the family portion of it. I think we’re probably going to be able to drop it a third. That’s going to be a big savings for those people who have families. There’s going to be some other things that I think will help the employees.”
The commissioners plan to approve the paperwork during their first meeting in November.
