Bremen Town Council Approves Additional Appropriation for Community Crossings Projects

The Bremen Town Council members approved an additional appropriation request to spend money for the upcoming projects awarded with Community Crossings Funds.

A 25 percent match of $111,959.71 was approved to be spent.  The council members reviewed an ordinance authorizing the expenditure and it was unanimously approved on second and third readings.

The Community Crossings projects include work on portions of 3rd Street, 4th Street, Beyler Street, Wahl Street, Holland Street, Grant Street, South Street, and Maple Street.  Milling and hot mix asphalt, sidewalk replacement and curb and gutter replacement will occur on some of the roads while others will receive general improvements.

Walsh and Kelly crews will perform the work that is slated to begin this fall.
