Plymouth City Engineer Rick Gaul shared plans for the upcoming Community Crossings Matching Grant program application with the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday night.
Gaul said he conferred with Mayor Mark Senter, Clerk-Treasurer Jeanine Xaver and Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt and felt two projects would benefit the city. The proposal includes Ferndale from Liberty to East Street which would be a mill and fill operation, and the road from North Michigan Street that leads east to dead end to the airport which would also be a mill and fill operation. A bit more work may be entailed with the airport road due to deterioration from the past winter months.
Gaul mentioned that the city funds that were not used in the last Community Crossings projects could be used toward the match for the upcoming application.
The two projects were submitted in a prior application.
The board members approved the request as presented.
