The Marshall County Commissioners considered a resolution last week that would transfer the ownership of parcels so the Culver Town Council members can complete the annexation of parcels west of the town limits north of West Jefferson Street.
County Attorney Jim Clevenger said a portion of West Jefferson Street, formerly known as 17C Road in the county’s road system, is still owned by the county. The Culver Town Council is looking to do some improvements on that street that runs west to State Road 17 and they need to show INDOT that they own that property before paperwork can move forward for the planning process.
The Culver Town Council members anticipate approving the same resolution in a future meeting.
The commissioners approved the resolution as presented with a unanimous vote.
