The Culver Town Council opened two public hearings Tuesday night to gather comments on a possible annexation and rezoning of a property owned by Cord Associates.
Plans for that property on Cass Street near Cavalier Drive include a proposed daycare facility. It would be built as a quadplex as it would have four separate units, but it would appear like a ranch-style building.
The property is actually in county zoning limits which requires annexation. The property would need to be rezoned to an R-2 zone for the purposes of the project.
No public comment was given during the pair of public hearings.
An ordinance that would approve the annexation was approved on second reading. The council members suspended the rules and approved the ordinance on third reading. The first reading of the ordinance for the rezoning of the property was approved on first reading. It will be up for second reading during the council’s next meeting on April 23.
