The Culver Town Council members discussed an ordinance that would annex a portion of county property on Cass Street near Cavalier Drive in order to house a proposed daycare facility there. It would be built as a quadplex as it would have four separate units, but it would appear like a ranch-style building.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist already approached the Marshall County Commissioners about the annexation request who gave their support for the request.
Leist said a fiscal plan is in the works while Utility Superintendent Bob Porter will review infrastructure needs.
The Culver Town Council members unanimously approved the first reading of the ordinance. It will be on the agenda for the April 9 town council meeting where a public hearing is scheduled for the proposed project and for the rezoning of the property.
