A request for a five-year tax abatement was submitted to the Bremen Town Council for consideration.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said officials at Summit Manufacturing are asking for a five-year, personal property tax abatement.
“Summit Manufacturing is asking for a tax abatement on a $95,000 piece of equipment they bought,” explained Weldy. “It’s a new vertical mill. They increased employment by one more person to run the mill. Mr. Stoller is asking for a tax abatement on that piece of property.”
The town council members approved the request with a unanimous vote.
