Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters presented the Community Crossings grant application to the county commissioners this week for signature in a another attempt to receive funding for several paving projects this year.
Those projects will include Dogwood Road from U.S. 6 to the County Line, 11th Road from U.S. 31 to S. Michigan, North Michigan Road from the City Limits to Veteran’s Parkway, Dogwood Road from State Road 331 to U.S. 6, and 9B Road from Union to County Line.
The total project cost is about $1.33 million with state funding totaling $997,500 and the county’s match at $332,500.
The grant application was approved by both the commissioners and council members in previous settings. The commissioners approved the request to sign the paperwork to be submitted to the Indiana Department of Transportation for consideration.
