Marshall County Commissioners Approved Updated Paperwork for Community Building

Marshall County Attorney James Clevenger presented the commissioners with paperwork for consideration concerning the Multi-Purpose Building in Argos.

The Marshall County 4-H Fair Board received a $500,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs last year to help fund a Multi-Purpose building on the fairgrounds in Argos.  The county is a sub-recipient for the grant as it is a pass-through vehicle for the funding process and will provide insurance on the building once constructed.  The county pledged $215,000 toward the cost of the project.  The county will share the title of the building for five years.

The updated sub-recipient form was provided which comes from OCRA with their approved forms.  Clevenger noted that Priority Project Resources grant writer Shannon McLeod was unable to provide the forms to the commissioners at their meeting last week so they will need to be approved at the Feb. 4 meeting.  Consultant Mike Miley is expected to review the paperwork as well.

Bids on the project are expected to be opened today (Jan. 28).
