The Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced the Community Crossings winners for this most recent round of grant awards. However, the Town of Bremen was not included in the list of winners.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy recently said the application included the repaving of Second Street and Third Street on the north side of town as well as Southlawn and Grant Street in front of the Bremen School Corporation
Water and Street Superintendent Alex Mikel said he believes the application was denied because the town hasn’t closed out the 2018 paving projects. They will submit another application in January.
