Bremen Town Council Continues to Research Water and Sewer Rate Increase

There is no new information on how much water and sewer rates will increase for residents in Bremen.

The Bremen Town Council members are working with Umbaugh and Associates in the process.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said in a previous report that a rate study revealed that a rate increase is needed. The town council members are unsure at what rate the increase will be, but an increase is expected. On top of not knowing what rate to increase the utility bills, Weldy added that it may be a residential user hike or a business user hike, or both.

Previously, Weldy mentioned that the increases could be about $2.00 to $2.50 more per bill for the average consumer who uses about 3,000 gallons of water a month.
