Plymouth City Council to Review More Changes to Proposed Fee Ordinance

The third reading of the proposed fee ordinance amendment will have to wait until the Plymouth City Council members have a chance to review several changes to the document.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said that when he started looking harder into the ordinance he found some fees and explanations were left out and added them to the updated ordinance that includes a lot of increases in fees for services in the City of Plymouth.

Fees to the city and zoning maps were given an increase and edits were made with the fire department reports and certain police department reports. Project review fees were amended as well as inspections. Several additions were made including a section discussing dedication on infrastructure to the city, code enforcements, and disinterment fees. Street cut fees were amended and a section was added that addresses tall grass and weeds and the timeframe in which they are to be maintained. City equipment rental fees were also included.

The city council members unanimously approved a motion to table the third reading of the ordinance and took the changes under advisement. They will render a decision at their next meeting.
