John Glenn School Corporation Turns in Technology Items, Receives Payment

The John Glenn School Board learned this week that several Chromebooks and iPads were turned in and sold.

Technology Director Andrew Stegemiller explained that the computers that were turned in were “graded” in terms of wear which determined a buy-back value. Stegemiller said he was impressed with some of the grades the computers received and the value given back to the school.

Board member Christian Mattix asked if the computers could be advertised for sale “as is” to community members prior to seeking companies to purchase the devices and Stegemiller said that could be done. Whatever isn’t sold to the staff or community members would be sold to the companies.

The board did approve the receipt of $15,135 for the non-essential technology recently sold.
