Bremen Town Council Looks toward Stellar Effort

Bremen Town Council members are working toward getting information for projects ready for Marshall County’s application for the Regional Stellar Communities Designation program.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the council members are looking to get an appraisal on a property that contains an abandoned home on Jackson Street. The idea is to demolish the home and create a community area closer to the downtown space. The council hopes to build a shelter to include on the property to be used during the farmer’s market or other events.

This project will be included in the town’s stellar project as part of the county’s Regional Stellar Communities Designation application. Other projects include a public swimming pool that is estimated to cost $1.5 to $2 million, and the development of a 40-unit apartment complex and 35 individual houses on school-owned property.
