Plymouth Street Department Superintendent Jim Marquardt presented the Board of Public Works and Safety members this week with a few requests for sidewalks.
Requests were submitted by homeowners at 322 Nursery Street, 127 Dickson Street and 821 Center Street. One project would fit under funding for ADA compliant sidewalks, but the board wants an evaluation system to determine need of repair before moving forward.
Board member Jeff Houin asked Marquardt to get together with City Attorney Sean Surrisi to determine what other municipalities do with sidewalk issues and pattern a policy for evaluating sidewalks.
No action was taken on the requests until more information can be obtained.
