The Marshall County Council members will have several requests to consider when they meet today.
Commissioner Kevin Overmyer is expected to discuss an increase in pay for Highway Supervisor Jason Peters. Overmyer presented the suggestion during last week’s commissioners meeting. He said Peters has assumed more responsibilities that weren’t a part of his initial job description when he began in the position. He added that Peters’ overtime hours are reflective of that commitment. He is expected to request an increase in Peters’salary of about $6,000 to $8,000 which would take it up to about $55,000 to $57,000 a year.
Sheriff Matt Hassel will ask for overtime wages for a security officer and Prosecutor Nelson Chipman will request a waiver of probationary pay for an employee. Veterans Service Officer Pam Schweitzer-Betz will discuss at-home professions training.
Two resolutions will be considered for a transfer funds set up for Community Crossings projects on Beech Road and S. Michigan Street. Additional appropriation requests are also up for council review.
The Marshall County Council members will meet at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room (Room 203) in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
