The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today.
Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi will appear before the commissioners alongside Marshall County Plan Director Ralph Booker to discuss the intergovernmental agreement for planning services. As Surrisi explained to the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety last week, it was recommended that the contract be approved every three months. While the term from January to March was approved, the contract that covers a period from April to June was overlooked. The board of works members agreed to the same contract as the first three months with the same pay and Surrisi and Booker will be looking for a similar action by the commissioners today.
Booker plans to retire as the county’s plan director at the end of June. It was previously mentioned that Booker may still continue as the city’s plan director, but those plans have not been formally announced.
Highway Supervisor Jason Peters will have an update for the commissioners and EMA Director Clyde Avery will ask for the adoption of the county’s All-Hazards Mitigation Plan. Pam Schweizer-Betz will request to attend an At Home Professions training to help her better understand medical coding, terminology and ethics which will assist her in filling out claims for veterans, widows and widowers.
The commissioners will also discuss the removal of the stop sign at 7th Road and Veterans Parkway and the property at 500 E. LaPorte Street in Plymouth.
The Marshall County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. today in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
