The Culver Town Council members will hold two public hearings on the proposed Culver Beach Lodge renovation project as one of the projects in the Stellar Communities Designation Program.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist told the council on Tuesday night that one addition to be made is a new stairway and elevator that will be constructed on the parking lot side of the building. This will allow handicapped accessibility throughout the entire building.
About $2.2 million in funding from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs is available for the Culver Beach Lodge renovation and the construction of the Cavalier Sports Park. The Culver Beach lodge project is anticipated to be around $1.6 million and some adjustments may be made before the project is let for bid some time this Fall.
The public hearings on the project are set for Tuesday, April 24 and Tuesday, May 8 during the town council’s regular meetings at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Culver Town Hall.
