Absentee voting started out slowly, but the Marshall County Election Board members learned this week that the numbers are beginning to increase.
According to Clerk Deb VanDeMark, as of Wednesday morning 13 travel board votes have come in while 53 absentee votes by mail have been submitted. She added that 193 walk-in absentee ballots have been cast.
Absentee voting in Marshall County continues Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This Saturday, absentee voting is available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the clerk’s office. Saturday early voting will also take place Saturday, May 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The final opportunity to vote absentee is Monday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Two satellite locations for early voting are available at the Bremen Town Hall and at the Culver Town Hall this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The same opportunity will be available at these locations on Saturday, May 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
