The National Guard Armory in Plymouth is undergoing renovations and cannot be used as a Vote Center for the May Primary Election.
With the unavailability of the 12th vote center site, the Marshall County Election Board members Tuesday morning discussed simply moving forward with 11 vote centers or finding an alternate site. Clerk Deb Vandemark suggested checking on availability at the Knights of Columbus building in Plymouth to host more machines. Parking may be an issue, but the building would offer enough space and it would meet Vote Center requirements.
The Plymouth Fire Station and the Moose buildings were also discussed, but the election board members made a motion to check with the officials with the Knights of Columbus to use the building as a Vote Center. If it won’t work, the board will meet again to discuss other options. If it all works out, the Vote Center Plan will need to be amended and filed with the Indiana Election Division.
It is anticipated that the National Guard Armory location will be available as a Vote Center for the November General Election.
Voters can vote at any one of these Vote Centers on Tuesday, May 8: Triton High School, Marshall County REMC, Bremen High School, Bremen Missionary Church, Argos United Methodist Church, Lapaz Fire Station, Tyner Community Building, Tippecanoe Community Building, Culver Depot, Pretty Lake Church Hall, or the Knights of Columbus building.
