Bremen Town Council Looking to Make Budget Cuts

The Bremen Town Council members are making an effort to cut money from the 2018 budget.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the budget is going to be short. Although the exact figure hasn’t been given to town officials, the town council members are prepared to cut $400,000. That is a rough estimate given by the Department of Local Government Finance.

Weldy said about $200,000 has already been considered out of the budget. He stressed that no positions will be cut. Funding in all budgets will be reviewed for potential decreases.
