Town of Bremen Still Working on Towing, Junk Vehicle Ordinance

The Bremen Town Council members are continuing in efforts to rid the town of old vehicles that are no longer in running order.

The Bremen Police Department is tagging disabled vehicles to clear them out of residential and commercial areas.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy previously told MAX 98.3 FM News that the council members are looking to increase towing fees and impound fees to bring those prices within current standards. The purchase or lease of more land to impound vehicles is also under discussion. The current location is becoming too crowded with inventory. Weldy said over 60 “junk” vehicles are impounded.

Weldy hopes the town’s attorney will have an update on a proposed ordinance to be presented to the Bremen Town Council at their next meeting.
