The Marshall County Council will meet today with several items on the agenda.
Highway Supervisor Jason Peters and County Commissioner Kurt Garner are expected to request funds for a third project not funded by Community Crossings money for 2018. The South Michigan Street project from Dewey Street to State Road 110 had a low bid of $450,352 submitted by Walsh and Kelly.
Coroner John Grolich will request permission to apply for a LEPC grant while Prosecutor Nelson Chipman will ask to apply for an IPAC Drug Prosecution Grant and establish a new fund. Health Department Administrator Christine Stinson will also discuss a grant application and Community Corrections Director Ward Byers will discuss a grant for his organization’s Fiscal Year budget for 2019.
Shannon McLoed will also have an application request for an Office of Community and Rural Affairs grant for the Marshall County Community Center project in Argos. She will make the request on behalf of the Marshall County 4-H Fair Board Long Range Planning Committee.
The county council will also consider additional appropriations including one from the Argos Community School Corporation, plus transfer requests.
The Marshall County Council members will meet at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
