County Attorney Working on Speed Limit Ordinance Amendments

Marshall County Attorney Jim Clevenger is waiting for more information to complete two speed limit ordinance amendments.

The Hickory Road bridge project is requiring a speed limit change to 45 mph to compensate for the design of the new bridge set for construction in 2018. He is unsure of the exact distance to include in the ordinance amendment.

The same issue is found with the proposed speed limit ordinance on 10B Road adjacent to Ancilla College. The speed limit is to be taken down to 35 mph for the safety of students who walk along the road. Clevenger doesn’t know the distance to include in the ordinance amendment. The area is specific to The Lake House that houses students in the Autism Program at Ancilla College.

Clevenger will present those ordinances for reading when that information is received.
