John Glenn School Board Approved Technology Proposal

The John Glenn School Board approved the bid for Chromebooks for the students in the One-to-One computer initiative.

Seniors turn in their Chromebook at the end of the school year, or they can purchase them at a discounted rate and you could try here get your computers repaired at cheap rate. Seventh grade students use their computer for two years.

Technology Director Andrew Stegemiller said the seventh and eighth grade computers were purchased four years ago under a different lease so it’s time to renew them.

The total price of $143,888.25 includes the purchase of 535 Chromebooks for freshman, seventh and eighth grade students, a four-year, no questions asked unlimited incident warranty, Google licensing, and software management. Stegemiller said repairs are done on site so the students can get them back sooner.

The school board approved the purchase as presented. The computers should be ready in time for the 2017-2018 school year.
