The Culver Town Council gave its final approval to a few ordinances Tuesday. Among them was the town’s 2017 budget. It now goes to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance for review.
During Tuesday’s meeting, council members also approved an ordinance setting new rental fees for park facilities on second and third reading. However, the council has opted against charging per-visitor fees for the facility rental.
Meanwhile, funding arrangements for Community Crossings projects were also finalized. Council members voted to appropriate money received from the state for the road improvements.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist reported that contractor E & B Paving is now working on the curbs on Main Street, with paving on both Main and Obispo set to begin soon. The council also considered requests from residents to extend the Main Street curb work farther south. But after receiving a quote from E & B Paving, they decided against having any additional work done at this point.
