Argos Man Pleads Guilty to Three Felony Charges in Marshall County Superior Court 1, Sentenced to 9 years in Jail

An Argos man pled guilty to three felony charges and was sentenced to a total of 9 years in jail in Marshall County Superior Court 1 on Wednesday.

Judge Robert O. Bowen presided over the case and 54-year-old Vincent Carnegie was represented by his attorney Tom Black while Marshall County Prosecutor Nelson Chipman and Chief Deputy Prosecutor Tami Napier represented the State of Indiana.

According to Napier, Carnegie’s case first came to light in May of 2017 after he reportedly broke into and entered his former girlfriend’s home in the 11,000 block of Michigan Road in Plymouth and forcibly drove her to Argos. Continue reading

No Trial Date Set Yet in Case of Vincent Carnegie

A trial date has not been set yet for a Plymouth man suspected of holding a woman against her will and brandishing a handgun threatening to kill himself and pointing that weapon at police.

On Friday, May 26, Vincent Carnegie allegedly forced a woman from her home in the 11,000 block of Michigan Street and later hid from police in a tree line at a location on King Road. He was reportedly hiding after hearing police were looking for him over the scanner.

Court Date Pending for Vincent Carnegie

An initial hearing has not been set in Marshall County Superior Court 2 for a Plymouth man suspected of holding a woman against her will and brandishing a handgun threatening to kill himself and pointing the weapon at police.

The incident happened on Friday, May 26, when Vincent Carnegie allegedly handcuffed a woman while she lay in her bed with her face covered with a washcloth that had been doused in a substance. Carnegie then reportedly forced the woman from the home in the 11,000 block of Michigan Road in Plymouth. They left the residence in her car while she was still in handcuffs, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
