The Triton Science Club will be getting some first-hand learning experience with a proposed trip to Ecuador in the summer of 2019! That’s according to school Superintendent Jeremy Riffle.
Superintendent Riffle reported that at their last meeting, Triton school board members approved the trip to proposed by Dawn Slein. Slein is a faculty member at the high school who teaches Biology, Advanced Placement Biology and serves as the instructor for the Biomedical Project Lead the Way program.
She said that so far, she has six students who are planning to join her on this immersive learning opportunity that will explore the ecosystems of Ecuador. The trip will take place after commencement ceremonies next year and will last a total of 11 days. Continue reading
Get a jump on your Christmas shopping at the Mall of America. Kankakee Valley Broadcasting is hosting a chartered bus trip to Bloomington, Minn. Nov. 4-6. The bus will leave the WKVI studios in Knox at 9:30 a.m. CDT and return around 10 p.m. Sunday.
