The REES Theater restoration effort is close to qualifying for a $300,000 grant, but time is running out. As of Monday afternoon, the project was within $150,000 of its $1.5 million fundraising goal, according to project organizers. The goal has to be reached by tonight at midnight, in order to get the $300,000 from the Regional Cities Initiative.

REES Project Committee to Offer Unique Auction Item
The REES Theater Project Committee members plan on offering a Marshall County Courthouse clock tower tour as part of a fundraiser set for this fall.
Committee member Donna Pontius asked the Marshall County Commissioners for permission this week to include a tour of the clock tower as part of an auction item slated for a REES Theater fundraising event on Friday, Oct. 5.
Community Update on Rees Theater Planned
Renovation plans have started at the Rees Theater in downtown Plymouth and the committee will have an update for the community this week.
The last committee meeting was held in April and some exterior work has taken place. The Rees Project Committee members are overwhelmed by the community’s continued support and interest in this project.
