Sewer Rates, Road Disbursement on the Docket for Plymouth Common Council
The Plymouth Common Council will consider an increase in the community’s sewer rates when they meet this evening.
A financial analysis was conducted by financial firm Umbaugh and Associates to understand how the current sewer rates are satisfying the City’s utility needs. The company recommended a 17-percent increase in the cost to consumers.
Plymouth Wastewater Upgrades Continue
Progress continues at Plymouth’s wastewater facilities. Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson told the Board of Works Monday that Division 1 of the Ledyard Plant renovations is moving along smoothly. “We expect to have the plant start-up on the east side. The west side’s already up in operation, but the east side, we’re anticipating that to begin next Tuesday,” he said. “It’ll go for a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday start-up process. The first side went relatively smooth, so we expect the same for the east side.” Continue reading
Arrangements Made for Plymouth Tennis Court Funding
The City of Plymouth is making the funding arrangements for new tennis courts in Centennial Park. Last month, the Common Council voted to contribute additional funds to the tennis court rebuilding project.
