Plymouth Council Takes Next Step in Granting Tax Abatement

Plymouth IndianaThe Plymouth Common Council continues moving ahead with a tax abatement request from a local garage door business. After a brief public hearing Monday, council members approved a resolution confirming their decision to designate the site of DAC Enterprise an Economic Revitalization Area. That makes the business eligible for a tax abatement.

DAC Enterprise plans to build a 60-by-64-foot addition onto its building at 400 Lake Avenue to help grow its garage door wholesale, manufacturing, and distribution business. Owner Dennis Cripe has said the expansion will let him add one or two new employees.

Following the approval of the resolution Monday, Cripe thanked the city for its support.
