Donations Allow Culver Library Chance to Provide Emergency Medical Care

Culver-Union-Township-Public-Library-300x208The Culver-Union Township Public Library is now home to a medical device that may one day save a life.

Members of the library’s fundraising arm, Friends of the Library, have been accepting donations to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator. The equipment is used as a means to restart a proper heart rhythm during cardiac arrest.

Culver Library Fundraising Group Seeks Donations for Defibrillator Purchase

According to information provided by officials with the library, their fundraising arm: Friends of the Library approached them about possibly buying an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED.

Triton Schools Looks to Improve Reading Opportunities Through Contract

Culver Library Celebrates Preservation, Anniversary Milestone

Now that the calendar has turned to May, the Culver-Union Township Public Library is celebrating historic preservation.

The library, located on North Main Street in Culver, was partially constructed as a Carnegie Library. They were built around the country using funds from the businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.

Culver School Board Approves Library Board Appointment

The Culver School Board has decided to move forward with a regular position appointment.

The school corporation in Culver holds a seat on the Monterey-Tippecanoe Township Public Library Board. Christine Sellers has held the seat previously. Her term on the Library Board expired in early March.
