Culver Library Fundraising Group Seeks Donations for Defibrillator Purchase

Culver-Union-Township-Public-Library-300x208The Culver Union Township Public Library is attempting to purchase a potentially life-saving device for their facility.

According to information provided by officials with the library, their fundraising arm: Friends of the Library approached them about possibly buying an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED.

The group believes the public library in Culver is an ideal place to keep an AED due to its central location, open hours, and broad public use. In order to pursue the device, the Culver Union Township Public Library received a $1,000 grant from the Marshall County Community Foundation to aid in the purchase.

Despite the grant, the library remains $800 short of the goal to order the AED. The Friends of the Library has set-up a fund for library patrons and community members to make donations.

Donating can be done at the Culver Union Township Public Library.
