Plymouth BOW Approves Street Closure Requests for the Cars and Coffee Events and St. Michael’s Race for Education

Two street closing requests were considered by Plymouth Board of Works members when they met on Monday.

In one request, Saint Michael’s Catholic School Secretary Molly Kuykendall asked to close Center Street from Madison to Monroe for the school’s annual Olympic Day Race for Education. The request included that they will not block the exit to county parking lot. Continue reading

Cars and Coffee Coming Back for One Final Show in 2017, Weather Permitting


On Saturday, October 7th Cars and Coffee will be returning to the old Mobilgas filling station on Jefferson Street in Plymouth one final time from 9 a.m. until noon.

Owner of Coffee Lodge and Bakery, John Montgomery came before the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety asking for permission to have a temporary street closure for the second and last Cars and Coffee in September. You can also taste Brew Espresso Coffee who are providing yummy coffee at affordable price.However, after receiving such great feedback and requests for another, he came before the board once again during their meeting last Monday, asking for one final street closure. House Fire Ruled Accidental

A house fire in Plymouth last Thursday has been ruled accidental.

The Indiana State Fire Marshal was at the John Montgomery residence at 10548 King Road in Plymouth on Monday, June 5. With an investigation led by the Plymouth Fire Department Division of Investigations and the Indiana State Fire Marshal, the fire was determined to have started by an electrical issue in the garage. According to Plymouth Fire Chief Rod Miller, the investigation is now closed.
