The time estimates are based on information gathered from road sensors that measure a variety of factors, including average vehicle speed and traffic volumes. INDOT Pipe Replacement Project to Close State Highway
A pipe replacement project will require the temporary closure of a state highway in Fulton County.
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that State Road 14, between County Road 775 W. and County Road 850 W., just west of Rochester, will be closed on Tuesday, April 14 through April 24.
State road detours must follow state maintained roadways only. Motorists traveling east on State Road 14 will be detoured south on State Road 17, east on State Road 114, north/east on State Road 25 and return to State Road 14. Drivers going west on State Road 14 will be detoured south/west on State Road 25, west on State Road 114, north on State Road 17 and back to State Road 14.
INDOT Halts Construction Over Holiday Weekend
Hoosier motorists will have a holiday from road construction this Thanksgiving weekend. State Police Arrest Suspect in Battery of INDOT Worker
The man authorities say assaulted an Indiana Department of Transportation worker in Bourbon on Friday, Nov. 7 is behind bars tonight. Richard A. Roe, 56, of Rochester, is charged with battery. He’s jailed on a $25,000 bond in Marshall County in connection with that incident on State Road 331. Continue reading
Oversize Load to Travel Through Northern Indiana
An oversize load traveling through northern Indiana the next five nights may snarl traffic in Porter, LaPorte, Starke and Marshall Counties as it passes through. The slow-moving, oversize, overweight load will have a police escort from the Port of Indiana to the Ohio border. INDOT advises short-term road closures will be necessary as it moves through the area. Motorists are urged to avoid the routes during the scheduled travel times. Continue reading
