Plymouth Officials Cut Ribbon for Freedom Park
Plymouth residents of all ages and abilities now have a playground to enjoy. City officials cut the ribbon for Freedom Park at Packard Woods last evening. Mayor Mark Senter says it’s a great addition to the city.

Plymouth Officials Schedule Freedom Park Grand Opening
Plymouth officials will celebrate the grand opening of the first phase of an all-inclusive playground next week. Freedom Park is located at Packard Woods. A committee has been working with the city’s park department for several years to develop a playground for children and adults of all abilities.
Plymouth Board of Works Awards Mill and Fill Bids
The Plymouth Board of Works awarded the bid for mill and fill work to the contractor with the lowest bid for the project. Bristol-based Niblock will do the work for slightly more than $488,000. It includes work at the south entrance to Centennial Park and on the two short streets to the cemetery. Continue reading
Officials Break Ground for Freedom Park
Children with physical disabilities will soon have a playground to call their very own.
Plymouth City officials and project representatives were among two dozen people to witness the groundbreaking event for Freedom Park Tuesday afternoon.
Freedom Park Project Co-Chair Tony Gamble has a son with a disability and Tuesday’s event presented a very special moment for him. He said the park system in Plymouth is great, but there just isn’t the infrastructure available for his son to enjoy playing at a playground.
