Some Bremen residents may be without power for a few hours Saturday morning. The outage will affect the area around Woodies Lane, south of Jane’s Park, according to a post on the Bremen Police Department Facebook page. The outage is expected to start around 8:00 a.m. and last for two to three hours.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a phone scam. In a post to the Marshall County Central Dispatch Facebook page Wednesday, officials said they’ve been getting complaints about someone calling residents and telling them they have a tax warrant through Marshall County.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour tonight. Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2:00 a.m. Sunday. It’s also a good time to test your smoke alarms and change their batteries, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding whoever abandoned several dogs near Dixon Lake. Fifteen dogs have been retrieved by the Marshall County Humane Society, as of Friday afternoon.
