Two Charged in Dealing Methamphetamine, Stolen Hand Guns Found

Two are in jail after methamphetamine and cocaine were reportedly found in a vehicle during a traffic stop.

According to Sgt. Trent Stouder of the Bremen Police Department, he pulled over a vehicle on Sunday, March 5 for a traffic violation where the drugs were found during a search of the vehicle. Police say three ounces of methamphetamine and three grams of cocaine were found, along with a handgun reported stolen in Angola.

Bremen Woman Found

Grand Opening Planned for Bremen Dog Park

Caucus To Take Place for Marshall County Council Seat

Plans are now being laid for a new caucus in Marshall County following the resignation of Council President Matt Hassel.

The resignation follows Hassel’s election as Marshall County Sheriff on Tuesday night. His swearing-in took place on Wednesday. Prior to being able to officially serve as Sheriff, Hassel was required under state statute to first leave his post on the Council.

Bremen Police Department Adds New Officer

A Bremen High School graduate is the newest member of the Bremen Police Department. Wesley Atkins also holds a bachelor of science degree from Manchester College. He served with the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department from 2010 until taking the job at Bremen.
