Interested in Being the Voice for a Local Child In Need? Don’t Miss Your Chance to Learn About CASA

If you’re seeking more ways to assist local children, you’ll have plenty of opportunities this week during CASA of Marshall County Information Days.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Marshall County is a non-profit organization that is committed to speaking in the best interest of children who are abused or neglected. CASA recruits train and support volunteers to assist these kids in the family court system.

This week several local libraries will be hosting a CASA Information Day where people can come find out more about the program. Today, CASA representatives will be at the Bourbon Public Library providing information. Continue reading

The Town of Bourbon to Stir up Some Holiday Spirit this Saturday

The holidays are right around the corner and the Town of Bourbon will be offering a variety of ways to get into the spirit of the season.

The Downtown Bourbon Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at the 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd. There will be a meet-and-greet with Santa at the fire station located at 216 N Main Street. Coffee, hot chocolate and free treats will be provided. Continue reading
