Time is Running Out to Apply for the Argos EMS Director Position
Individuals who wish to apply for the Argos EMS Director position have until Wednesday, November 7th to get a letter of interest turned into the Argos Clerk’s Office.
As a reminder, the current EMS Director Richie Miller tendered his resignation in August and plans to officially resign on December 31st. Miller has noted that applicants are required to have EMT experience. Continue reading
Argos Officials Hope to Secure OCRA Grant to Help Fund Potential New EMS and Fire Department Building
After consulting with a grant writer, Argos Town Council members were informed about an OCRA grant available for 90/10 match that could be utilized for a possible new Fire and EMS building.

Bourbon Man Injured in Marshall County Crash
A Bourbon man received minor injuries, when he reportedly crashed a pickup truck into a tree Saturday morning. Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Bourbon Police Department were called to the area of 20th Road and Fir Road just after 1:15, after someone reported a man walking around and yelling.
Argos Town Council Members Discuss Fire Department Billing Possibilities
The possibility of charging for some additional fire department calls was briefly discussed during the Argos Town Council meeting last Wednesday.
Currently, the town only bills for structure fires. However, Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney explained that the problem is that even when someone is billed, they don’t always follow through with a payment.
Since officials are now considering billing for HAZMAT calls and potentially others, Mullaney suggested that they utilize the same company they use for EMS billing. Continue reading
There’s Still Time to Register for the Argos EMS Emergency Medical Technicians Class
Argos EMS is offering an Emergency Medical Technicians-Basics Class in March and the deadline to register is approaching.
To attend the EMT-B Class you must be registered by Thursday, February 15th.
It will begin on March 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Argos EMS Building and it’s expected to conclude around June 1st. Continue reading
Bids Requested for Argos EMS Building Repairs
The Argos Town Council met in special session Monday night to discuss repairs to the EMS building on 121 S. First Street.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney told MAX 98.3 FM News that mold was found inside the walls. Some of the affected drywall has been ripped out and now it needs replaced, along with other repairs. The town will collect bids to complete the construction.
