Individuals who wish to apply for the Argos EMS Director position have until Wednesday, November 7th to get a letter of interest turned into the Argos Clerk’s Office.

Argos Officials Meet with EMS Director to Discuss Replacement Process, More EMTs Needed
Argos officials met with EMS Director Richie Miller last Thursday to discuss finding his replacement.
Director Miller announced that he will be resigning from his position officially on December 31st of this year. Town Council members met with him in a workshop to go over the duties and responsibilities of his position. They also used that time to brainstorm ideas about how the interview process should go.
In addition to searching for a new director, the EMS Department is also looking for additional EMTs. Continue reading
Marshall County Health Department to Offer Free Well Water Testing
Free well water testing is available through the Marshall County Health Department for those affected by the recent flood event in Marshall County.
According to Health Administrator Christine Stinson, flooding around a well can contaminate the well water and the casing of a well. Flood waters contain bacteria, viruses and waste that can cause extreme illnesses if people drink, bathe or cook with contaminated well water.
There’s Still Time to Register for the Argos EMS Emergency Medical Technicians Class
Argos EMS is offering an Emergency Medical Technicians-Basics Class in March and the deadline to register is approaching.
To attend the EMT-B Class you must be registered by Thursday, February 15th.
It will begin on March 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the Argos EMS Building and it’s expected to conclude around June 1st. Continue reading
