Secretary of State Encourages Hoosiers to Go to the Polls This Election Day
Secretary of State Connie Lawson is encouraging Hoosiers to vote during the May 3rd primary election.
Lawson’s offices compile voting data by county and measure changes in voter behavior year-to-year. Primary elections typically see lower turnout than the November General Election, but often decide the candidates moving onto the next step of their campaign.
BMV Branches to Extend Hours for Primary Elections
The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is extending its hours on Monday and Tuesday, to help voters get the identification cards they need to cast their ballots. Click-It or Ticket Campaign Promotes Safety, Better Enforcement
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department says they will once again be participating in the national Click-It or Ticket campaign.
Efforts are supported by federal funding from the Traffic Safety Division of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, and are designed to remind motorists to wear a seat belt while driving. Plymouth Appropriates Funds for Blueberry Festival Fireworks Upgrades
Fireworks at the Marshall County Blueberry Festival were again up for discussion during Wednesday’s special session of the Plymouth Common Council. Last month, the Common Council voted to give the festival an additional $25,000 for this year’s fireworks, after festival organizers asked the city to fund the upgrades in recognition of the Blueberry Festival’s 50th anniversary.
